Talk about plugins
I'm looking for a plugin that will detect certain keywords that I provide in the post and then replace it with my link to external sites, so that I don't have to do this every time I write
Currently, I'm using Linkify Text, it works. But it will replace keywords even inside h2, h3, buttons etc. Only keywords inside a paragraph should be changed
Does anyone know a plugin that can do the job?submitted by /u/gijovarghese
I am working on a website to show videos only to logged-in users. I am wanting the ability to post videos (from Vimeo), and allow users to rate them. Once rated, a few widgets to show Highly rated, highest viewed, and featured videos would be amazing.
Is there a plugin that includes ratings with the videos (I've checked around and couldn't seem to find one). If not, anyone have suggestions on plugins I could combine to get the desired results?
I'm also looking for a decent way to track which logged-in users view which videos/pages if possible, but that's a different thing.submitted by /u/Staxxed
What plugin do I use to get this multiple search filter?
Basically, I want my clients to be able to select multiple tags and view search results, and also edit their selection and view updated results. Must be a simple and easy experience.
I'm using search and filter plugin right now and it's great but the process of ticking checkboxes in one column that goes so far down the page is too tiresome for the user.
A great example is Elementor's gallery which you can view here - if this lets the user choose multiple tags it would be perfect.
My boss wants to create a client portal- no sweat, there are hundreds of plugins that could do that- but he doesn't want it based on WordPress. I'm absolutely horrible at php (seriously, I was introduced to it two days ago) and the only experience I have is with Java (and even then it's only low level stuff). I've probably watched around 6 hours worth of PHP and Wordpress videos on lynda.com and based on my research, I think our company's wordpress website runs on PHPMyAdmin, which has MySQL on it, which I could maybe create a database for all of the custom users. Is this possible? Even if it is, how long would I probably have to work on it? (I already know I'm doing stuff way above my pay-grade, but how far above like my actual brain capacity?)submitted by /u/Emilia_Bedilea
So, I have a lot (1000+) of articles as HTML files downloaded from one site, and want to upload them to another one. How can I do that?
Also, the HTML files contain all page code from the 1st site, which I don't want. How to upload only the articles?submitted by /u/kintrbr
Im using the Publish to Apple News plugin, and I'm trying to add an extra line of text to all posts before sending it off to apple news
I found the hook apply_filters( 'apple_news_generate_json', $json, $this->content_id() )
Which ,"allows you to change any aspect of the final JSON right before it is sent to Apple News. Some sites use this to replace the content with their own custom templates. $json actually contains a PHP array representation of the JSON right before it's encoded for easy editing. $this->content_id() contains the post ID."
Not sure where to go from their
can someone help?
It just doesn't allow me to select any elements that I usually can and it wont let me add in a new element. It doesn't seem to be providing me with any error messages either. Sorry I'm a WordPress newbiesubmitted by /u/Jessus_
I also posted this over at /r/Wordpress, but I think it belongs here too.
Any web developer and SEO professional will tell you that getting a new website to start getting traffic and good ranking on Google is really the hardest hurdle to overcome. Especially because it never ends, you need to constantly improve your content and make sure you're using the right on-site (and off-site) techniques to show up in search results and stay fresh on your audience's mind.
Thankfully Wordpress has some pretty neat tools to make your on-site SEO (Search Engine Optimization) stand out from the sea of Wordpress sites.
- Yoast SEO: Yeah, this one is pretty obvious. Their motto literally is "SEO for everyone". It's great because it analyzes each page on your website and sees if each one is optimized to its full potential. If there is room for improvement, Yoast even lists out what you could do and has great tips on their blog for you to become an SEO expert.
- MPG: Multiple Pages Generator: This is a newer plugin that is all about creating pages in bulk without clogging your website's speed. This is perfect for creating landing pages for your website that are search-specific. For example, if you sell a product to multiple cities, it's better for your SEO to have a page dedicated to each city. So just list the locations on a CSV and set a template page with shortcodes and MPG generates the pages for Google to index. Each one with its own picture, map, video, keyword and however else you want to customize.
- Smush: A lot of times what's making your website unsavory for Google is just its speed and how heavy it is, this is usually because of unnecessarily large images. This is where Smush comes in. It automatically compresses images, resizes and strips them of unnecessary data without affecting the images' quality. You can optimize up to 50 images in bulk.
This is a really short list, but it's really helpful for anyone who is serious about creating a great and optimized Wordpress website. Let me know your thoughts/questions and if you want more SEO tips for your Wordpress site.submitted by /u/mpgwp
I have a list with names. These names have dates and places attached to them. I'm looking for a plugin where people can view the entire, alphabetically ordered list, but can also filter for date and/or place, and are able to just search for a specific entry. If it's also possible to update the query with each input (like how Google's auto-complete works), that would be even more insane.submitted by /u/GigassAssGetsMeHard

We created a WooCommerce extension that posts verified reviews to the Ethereum blockchain. These reviews show up on the merchants auto-created company profile page. What this does is stop non-customers from reviewing products/services. Since there is a such a problem with fake negative reviews and as someone who experienced it first hand, it was only right that we create this. It took us over a year to develop the technology and it's finally out there.
We do have a free version (below) that we are actively promoting. While we do have paid plans we're only focusing on the free version so we can receive feedback from the WooCommerce/WP community.
Please let me know if we have submitted this incorrectly.

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to set up download monitor to automatically download a document when you fill out a gravity form? I have the integration working but at the minute when someone fills out the form it refreshes the page and then puts the word "Download" down, with a link. Ideally, when they click submit on the form, the document would just download.
Can anyone advise?
