[HELP] Mailchimp plugin text colour change

Mon, 03/27/2017 - 20:36

I could really use some help changing the colour for the mail chimp Wordpress plugin confirmation message. The code is:

if($retval['status'] == 'subscribed') { $esc = _("Success, you've been signed up.", 'mailchimp_i18n'); $msg = "<strong class='mc_success_msg'>{$esc}</strong>"; } else { $esc = _("Success, you've been signed up! Please look for our confirmation email.", 'mailchimp_i18n'); $msg = "<strong class='mc_success_msg'>{$esc}</strong>"; }

It shows up green and I can't find any reference elsewhere in the code to this colour. Is there a simple way to change it? (I want it to be white).

Thanks (and apologies for my inability to code :P)!

WooCommerce Compatible Plugin for Referrals - Send Emails, Generate Link [REQUEST]

Mon, 03/27/2017 - 18:10

My company is looking for a referral plugin that will do the following:

  • Send the customer an email after purchase of a specific product, OR after a purchase over a specific amount (either will work for our purposes)

  • Give them a link back to our store that can be shared with others, giving them a defined discount (X% off, or $X off their purchase). If possible, we would like that email to include social share links to make it as easy as possible for the customer to share their referral link - you know the ones, that open the social platform and auto generate a post message.

  • Gives the customer a discount/reward when their referral link is used to make a purchase. Whether that's a free product under $X each time their referral link is used, or $X off up to $XX each time their link is used.

My boss received an email that does pretty much exactly what we'd like to do: http://imgur.com/a/tBuTa

A free plugin would be ideal, of course. But paid/premium options are welcome!

[HELP] I am searching for a Plugin that creates an offer and send it via e-mail to the customers (based on their selection of products). Any ideas?

Sun, 03/26/2017 - 15:18

I am searching for a plugin that basically creates offers and sends them via e-mail to the customers. The idea is the following:

The customer goes to our page and select a product, its colour and maybe some equipment. Then, the plugin shall calculate the price of everything and send the offer to the customer via e-mail.

Is such thing possible?

[HELP] Looking for plugin to allow access of specific page/post from specific referrer (ie: email)

Thu, 03/23/2017 - 16:41

Are there any plugins that work at the page/post level to restrict access based on the referrer?

I'm trying to create a page that is only accessible via link sent and clicked via email. If not, then the user is redirected to the registration page for that piece of content.

I've been searching for over hour still no dice. I'm not looking for a memberhsip plugin, I just want email subscribers and when they get my email to view the page.

I also don't want non-subscribers to have access to the page, which is why the email referral is important.

I'd hate to add a piece of hand coded php to the page just to achieve this.

[HELP] Alternatives to CoSchedule?

Thu, 03/23/2017 - 15:08

CoSchedule is a plugin that lets you write social media updates for all platforms from within your Wordpress dashboard and helps you schedule these. Say, you want to promote a post on the day it's published, on the next day, a week later and a month later. You can write different updates for each occurence and platform. Unfortunately, CoSchedule is now terminating its legacy plans and will get much more expensive -from less than 100 USD/year to 60 USD/month. Can someone recommend a similar plugin? It doesn't have to be free. I noticed that similar questions have been asked in the forum a year and two years ago (when CoSchedule first started raising prices), but unfortunately the OPs didn't get any answers. Thanks!

[HELP] Alert plugin for new WordPress posts

Wed, 03/22/2017 - 23:26

Alerts are ubiquitous on the web... with a circular indication that there are new notices to view. Does anyone know of a plugin that will allow placement of a widget to show an "alert" when there is a new website blog post? I suppose these would be connected to a browser's cache? Dunno... I have not seen one.

[HELP] Has anyone worked with Beanstream to put in a donation/payment mechanism on a Wordpress site?

Wed, 03/22/2017 - 20:37

We have a quote for building a donation portal (matching the site appearance, shopping cart, high security etc.) into our WordPress site, but the estimate is contradicted by Beanstream by a 30-40 workhour margin. Does anyone have experience with this/ a ballpark estimate of how many hours it should take to implement?

[HELP] Having trouble with the Disqus WP plugin.

Wed, 03/22/2017 - 12:29

I run a webcomic on a WordPress site using the Webcomic plugin, and I use the Disqus comments plugin to manage and moderate user comments for feedback, input and general chat about the comic.

However there seems to be a problem with the comments loading. For example, when I go to my WP dashboard for the site, I can see that Page 508 has 7 comments on it - I can see what they are, what they're about, edit them, approve them, the usual shebang. However, when I go to Page 508 on the actual site, I can only see 3 of the comments. If I do a force refresh (shift+F5) I can see the other comments briefly before the Disqus 'loading' icon shows briefly and they're replaced by the same 3 as before (which are part of the 7 that should be there, but only those 3 show.)

Wut's going on? :( Help appreciated.

And for the record, both plugins are as up-to-date as they can be.

EDIT: Deactivating Disqus has fixed the problem for the most part but as I kinda like using it, I'd appreciate a fix that lets me turn Disqus back on and still see all the comments all the time.

[HELP] Wordpress internal messaging system

Mon, 03/20/2017 - 08:49

Idk if this is the right sub, but will give a try: I need to implement a messaging system in a wordpress-based website, where the users can send messages (questions) to the "site admins", and have the possibility to mark the question visible for everybody (on a separate site). The message/inbox/etc frontend I plan to make with react. I'm searching for a plugin which would do the heavy lifting on the backend, so I don't need to make everything from scratch. Does anybody knows such a plugin? So the requirements again (for the backend): - logged in users can send messages to admins - set messages visible/invisible for everybody - messages stored in a separate table (to be able to make an API easier) - messages can be replied (view should look like email threads) Any other tipps would be helpful and I will thank you :)
